Sun Pictures the film division of Sun TV Network is today one of the leading production houses in the industry.

We are actively involved in the Production, Distribution, and acquisition of content. We have released 22 films so far Kadhalil Vilunthen, Thenavattu, Dindigul Sarathy, Padikathavan, Thee, Ayan, Maasilamani, Ninaithale Inikkum, Kanden Kadhalai, Vettaikaaran, Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai, Sura, Singam, Thillalangadi, Aadukalam, Mappillai, Engeyum Kaadhal, Mankatha, Vedi, Kutti Puli, Inga Enna Solluthu and Kanchana-2 all of which are success stories. Our Other exciting projects are awaiting. Our strength lies in leveraging our Group to promote and package the films we release. Our Mantra is, where there is content, we are there to back the same.

Movie Production

Our first production venture is "Endhiran" (Robot) - Starring Superstar Rajinikanth, and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles, Directed by Shankar which is a path-breaking film in Indian Cinema. Also included in our list of top blockbuster movies are Sarkar, Petta, Kanchana 3, Namma Veettu Pillai, Annaatthe, Etharkkum Thunindhavan, Beast, Thiruchitrambalam and Jailer.

Two massive projects, Coolie and Raayan are currently in production. The director of the movie "Coolie" is Lokesh Kanagaraj and it stars Superstar Rajinikanth. "Raayan" is a film directed by Dhanush, who also stars in it, marking his second directorial endeavour.

Our plans include Telugu films, Hindi films and International films' says Mr. Kalanithi Maran, Chairman, Sun Group.
